Dell HDD death and Asus IEEE fix.
Had a customer call me and asked me to come look at his tower. It was a Dell Dimension 4400 Running Windows XP with a 20gb HDD. The same week there was an ice storm and power loss all over town randomly. The HDD was clicking , so I brought it home and put it into an external PATA bay. unfortunately the drive could not be reinitialized. He needed a new system ASAP for his business. we had talked and he was looking to save space in his office. I had a damaged Asus IEEE seashell in my collection of misfit toys. The screen was cracked in the Asus, so I ran a VGA cable to his current monitor. I loaded it with Windows 7 and base software (MS security essentials, VLC, etc) then we talked about his WiFi signal in his business. we then went and picked up a new wireless router, a Linksys AC1200+ Smart Wireless Gigabit Router. I got his new network up and running and made sure his printer was connected on his network for his business.
