OK then

So, I had to not take classes this fall due to being 4% below my 90 hour appeal requirements. I have to pay for 12 hours out of pocket before I can get Financial Aid again.

But

I am working for a company called CoEnterprise doing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Never saw that coming.

1. Dell Dimension E521 dual boot. Windows 10 TP and trying Mint linux put i keep having issues. may try Fedora instead. May format and start over to see if i can fix Linux not loading right.

2. reformat of my MSI gx630 laptop to tri-boot windows 7 professional, Mint, and Fedora. I'm adding Fedora because I believe that is the Linux I will be learning on in the fall at school.

Another great toolkit - GeGeek Toolkit

I stumbled upon this toolkit last week and it looks like a great repository of tools. The only catch to getting it is that you have to donate what you deem is a fair amount. The toolkit looks worth it if you want nice collection of software on hand while working on a system. This toolkit also uses Ketarin to keep everything up to date. so swing over to GeGeek and check it out.

AMRT - Anti-Malware Repair Kit

I found this tool kit while I was trying to build my own set of tools for PC repair. It is a HUGE collection of the most used freeware tools. I take no credit in making it , it is not mine. when you open the zip file put the "repair toolkit" folder into the root directory of a USB thumb drive. go into "\Repair Toolkit\Anti-Malware Toolkit\setup" and read the instructions for installation. You WILL have to go into ketarin folder (\Repair Toolkit\Ketarin) and update some of the download links for some of the software for this to properly function.
AMRT.zip

NOTE: The download is giving a false positive as a virus. I will look into fixing this.

Dell Inspiron 15 3531

Started working a Dell Inspiron 15 3531 for a customer.

He wanted it downgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. I tried to install Windows 7 from a USB since this machine does not have a disc drive. I found out that it using a UEFI system, which was new to me. The machine would not load my USB in Legacy mode. I did some research and learned that I had to update the system BIOS to be able to load the USB drive. This System had the worst Malware infection I had seen in a while. The Malware was preventing me from running the BIOS update program. so i started out running Rogue Killer to stop anything that shouldn't be running on the system and tried to remove what little it found. I then ran Spy-bot search and destroy followed by Malware-Bytes. Finally I ran Adaware to finish of the system. still instances of ads popping up, after 20 mins or so the machine became almost unusable. No luck with the BIOS updater still. I managed to get the system to finally go into the recovery setting and I reinstalled Windows 8.1. with this new install running clean I got the BIOS updater to run. I installed Windows 7 and all the common Anti-malware programs I put on a machine.
